Session Descriptions:

College is not just about going to class.  From an employer’s point of view, what you do outside the classroom can be just as important as what you do inside.  During this session presented by the Career Center, you will find out what you can do outside of the classroom to help you make good career decisions with an emphasis on Rutgers Internship Programs.

Performing at Your Peak
An interactive session that will explore the obstacles that hinder students from obtaining their “peak” academic performance including lack of exercise, excessive stress, alcohol/drug use, emotional difficulties and procrastination.  This session will provide an opportunity to talk with current students

who have found ways to navigate the system at Rutgers-Camden and take advantage of the services offered.

Digital Identity & Wellness

Dr. Jodie Ahlquist is a digital leadership educator, discovering the intersection of digital communication technologies and leadership development in higher education.  She believes in challenging how education thinks about social media for community building, leadership development, and student services. Her vision is to provide a digital remix on how to empower leaders of the 21st century. Her presentations balance between education and entertainment, using high energy and interaction along with learning outcomes and attendee reflection.

During this program, students will have the opportunity learn about their major or a major that interests them.  They will have the opportunity to speak directly with faculty or experts in that field.  They will walk away with information regarding courses, research opportunities, internships, student organizations and ask any questions that they may have.
