The Rutgers-Camden New Student Orientation Program is a dynamic and interactive set of sessions that provide essential information, introduces concepts of college culture, language, and expectations, and assists students in navigating buildings, services and resources available through Rutgers-Camden. These programs include:
· Online Orientation, a web-based, interactive orientation that will provide important information regarding campus programs, policies, & services and can be utilized as a guide for the campus.
· SOAR: Student, Advising, & Registration Program takes place after a student has accepted to the University and has completed all required placement tests and/or online orientation. Students will have an individual appointment with an advisor, choose courses, and register for classes on this day. Students will be notified via email of their assigned date (assignments may vary based on special programs).
· Raptor Welcome, the interactive mandatory on-campus orientation program for all new students that takes place on Wednesday, August 27, 2014. The program gives students a chance to meet their fellow Rutgers-Camden Raptors and participate in a variety of activities to prepare them for their college experience.
