Everfi Online Course
There are many aspects of your New Student Orientation and Rutgers University-Camden faculty and staff are dedicated to helping you create a path for greater success both as a student and a member of our community and beyond. In an effort to further advance our students beyond the classroom, Rutgers University-Camden has partnered with EverFi, whose mission is to help students address critical life skills such as alcohol abuse and sexual assault prevention. Our program provides you with online courses to help you develop the critical skills to make more thoughtful and educated choices. Our hope is that with these skills you will find greater success both here at Rutgers University-Camden and well beyond graduation.
As part of our comprehensive prevention program for new students, Rutgers University-Camden expects you to complete Everfi’s AlcoholEdu and Sexual Assault Prevention and the university online Academic Integrity Tutorial through sakai. As an academic community, Rutgers is committed to fostering an intellectual and ethical environment based on the principles of academic integrity. The online education will empower you to make well-informed decisions about issues that affect your years at Rutgers University-Camden and beyond. Since this program is part of the New Student Orientation, it is mandatory for all new students. Students who fail to complete all four courses will have an academic hold on their record which will prevent them from registering for additional courses, obtaining transcripts, and will need to meet with the Dean of Students.
AlcoholEdu, Sexual Assault Prevention and the Academic Integrity tutorial will be available starting Monday, August 5th, 2019.
All new students will be required to complete the first part of the online courses by September 13th, 2019. Those students who do not complete the required course will have an academic hold placed on their account which will remain until the course is completed. Each course will take time to complete and we encourage you to plan out how you are going to complete the course.
Instructions will be emailed to all new students.
